Sometimes we don't want to convert Lead to Contact, because if the Contact exists already, and we do the Lead-to-Contact converting, then it will duplicate the Contact. How do we avoid that?
So far I know, there is no way to avoid converting Lead to Contact directly, even if you selected all Contact matching fields to "None" in
Lead: Map Custom Fields
, the Lead's last name will be the contact's Last Name
Only way is: do the converting, and then in the Contact, find that newly converted contact record, do the "Find & Merge Duplicates".
